Book Report

First off I would like to say how absolutely crazy it is that is October. Time really does fly.

The atmosphere at the house has been pleasant of late. You see the mom and dad are traveling to Italy and travel keeps them in a better mood. I think anyone would be in a better mood with the thought of new leather boots, real gelato, and Italian charm on the mind. I will be here with the kids. It is going to be a crazy weekend because the kids are very busy. I also have to sleep over with Benny at a friend’s house. Dumb. I don’t need to be there. The kid has a mom and a nanny. Oh well it will be interesting I suppose.

Benny and I had another talk about death tonight. He asked if I would ask God to protect him I said I would and I said I already do every day. Then my Patron came in and told him not to think about death or heaven but to live here. Be thankful for what you have. Then Benny asked if the tooth fairy was in heaven. My Patron said maybe. She told me after that she didn’t want to talk about heaven because we don’t know if it exists. You can’t tell them heaven is a wonderful place full of flowers and candies and chocolate because you don’t know what they might do. I feel like she was implying that a child might kill itself to get to heaven. That was a very weird thing to hear. So I was like well I do agree we should dwell in the here and now. Benny is very curious and my Patron just wants to avoid the subject.

Lastly a book report. I encourage everyone to read this book because it is very challenging. The book is entitled When Heaven Invades Earth by Bill Johnson. It speaks about the Kingdom of God. To often as believers we feel that we must wait to experience the fullness of God until we get to heaven, while Jesus seems to paint a different picture. He prays for heaven to be loosed on Earth. The Bible says we are to do greater things than Christ so my question is where is that power and how can I get it. I want God to use me just as he used Peter or Paul. But you don’t see anybody fighting to get under the shadow of modern day churchgoers. It’s risky sure. It means praying for the sick and believing them to get well. What if they don’t we say. But what if they do? Isn’t one well person worth it? Not only would they be physically well they would be made spiritually well because they encountered the presence of the living God. The power from the Old Testament Holy of Holies, in the ark, that killed men who simply touched it and made priests tie ropes around their feet in case of death when entering the room is now inside of us. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and desires to use that power to bring glory to the Father as Christ glorified the Father. To that I say yes Lord come. Amen and Amen.

Anyway it’s a good book so read it. That’s really all. Pray for my health and the health of the family. Pray for signs and wonders. Pray that the glory of God will be put on display in this place. All glory to God for he is Holy. Worthy is the Lamb who was and is to come. Amen.
