Prayer

Today I got two letters and a package. I was so excited. They fill my heart with extreme amounts of joy. Thank you for the scripture and words of encouragement. I always need it.

The next thing that happened today was kinda weird so brace yourself. I have been sick for the last few days and today I decided to hardcore pray about it. So I did and nothing happened. I was quite annoyed really. So I tried again very simply. Lord you said by your stripes we are healed and you also said what ever we ask in your name you will give us so heal me. I sat up and I could breath through my nose. I started crying… a lot. My nose is still a tad stuffy but I can breath and I feel great. I believe I am healed. My faith has been strengthened. God is going to do even greater things here I know it. If he cares about my cold, how much more he must care for the lost souls around me. I am very excited.

Mrs. Kawn came to stay with us tonight. She called me stupid in Turkish when I asked if she really wanted Benny to stay up and do his homework tonight when he had to get up early for soccer. In her defense she said it in Turkish and when I had turned to leave. Oh wait. I know it is not very Christ like but I had a smile twinge of joy when she could figure out the homework because it was in English. It is my job to do English homework with the kids but if she wants to do it fine and good luck. She might be a little crazy.

Princess Peach threw a fit today in the car. I told her was not allowed to have cheese puffs and a waffle, a type of dessert. She started crying and said I always take Benny’s side and then said she didn’t want anything any more. I have no idea why she associated me saying no with taking Benny’s side. They were his cheese puffs but I explained from the beginning it was about the amount of sweets and not who they belonged to. She cried for a solid 20 minutes. Corky was in the car. I expected him to fuss at me when we got to the house but instead he walked up to me and said, “What are you going to do? At this age they think they know everything. Eh.” I was blessed that the water works does not sway everyone in the family. It was a lovely surprise.
